Welcome to Kent Regional 4C’s Referral Department! Connecting parents to your child care business.

How do I get referred?

It’s easy! The first step is to join the referral network and tell us about your child care business using the Family/Group Home Initial and Yearly Update Form or the Center/Preschool/School-Age Initial and Yearly Update Form.  Then keep this information updated.

If you prefer to give your information over the phone, call the referral department at 451-8281 ext. 230. Your child care information is kept in a database which helps us make referrals but it also helps us compile statistical reports, like what the average cost of child care is.

How do I do keep my child care information updated? For your convenience there are many ways you can keep your information updated once you join the referral network.

1. Internet: Click on one of these to update your information online.
Vacancy Update Form – Every six weeks or when your vacancies change.
Family/Group Home Initial and Yearly Update Form – Once a year.
Center/Preschool/School-Age Initial and Yearly Update Form – Once a year.

2. Phone: Call the referral department 616/451-8281 ext 230 or 501 to leave a message about your vacancies and other child care information.

3. In Person: When you attend training through Kent Regional 4C you’ll be asked to fill out a vacancy update form.

4. Email: The referral department will email you to update and you can reply with your current vacancies. Or, you can email one of the Referral Specialists with vacancy updates. See list below.

How often should I update my vacancy information? You can update this information when it is convenient, whenever there is a change in your openings or at least every six weeks. We really appreciate this initiative since it keeps your vacancy information current. If you don’t initiate an update, a Referral Specialist will contact you to check your vacancies.

Can you tell me how many times my name was referred to parents? Yes! Email a referral specialist to find out how many times you were referred this month and last month.

Can I see what my referral information looks like to parents? Yes! If you want to see what your referral information looks like, email a referral specialist to receive a sample of what your referral information looks like to parents.

Sincerely,
The Referral DepartmentSpecialists
